The

Did
you know that cinnamon is one of the oldest spices? It was mentioned
in a botanical document dating 2700 BC. Cassia comes from the same
family but is a different species of cinnamon. It has a slightly
milder, less piquant, aroma than cinnamon and when taken properly
can be a remedy to stomach upsets and diarrhea.

In 1619 a young Danish man was condemned for having coaxed a young
woman to swallow this aphrodisiac nut. Nutmeg and mace (the outer
covering of the nutmeg) were used, as money in the 7th century,

Coriander's
delicate citrus aroma is enhanced when it is roasted, it is also

Cardamom is a sensual spice, considered to have aphrodisiac properties
it cools the body when it is hot and warms it when it is cold. Apicus

Fennel is a wonderspice , it helps relieve flatulence, toothache,
